I am loving to read this new to me Bible. The Ethiopian Bible has opened new understandings to all the other bibles.
I already had an Ethiopian bible but it’s more like kings James version so I was on a hunt to see if I can find an easier translation. I found out through tiktok about this book and this new one is so much easier English to read and comprehend in my opinion. I have place two different version of Proverbs 4 the one that I highlighted is Solomon gate press and the other one is the old English Ethiopian book. Took three days to get here, packaging was in good condition. I’m content with my purchase and it also has the book of Sirach Ecclesiasticus where the old English Ethiopian book is missing that book. So my search for an Ethiopian book is finally OVER ✌️
I found the presentation of the cover and the inside a little disappointing I think it would’ve been much better if it had been a hardcover rather than soft. The font size is extremely small for somebody of my age to read with these. I have not been able to access the additional add-ons Etc.
Great!
Packed full of wonderful information. Only complaint is the text is very small.
This really had me excited to read again. I read so many times before but having this book at the size it is made me feel as though I had a big storybook. This was a great buy.
I love King James but just get so flustered with reading it sometimes. Ordered the Complete Ethiopian, it has the books left out of the King James and is so much easier for me to read and understand.
This is so unbelievable that the Roman catholic church illuminated so much of our Holy Bible because they would lose money if they didn't. They also changed the writings of the Holy Bible to suit their needs and desires. I believe that many Christians should find a terrific lawyer to sue that evil church for their criminal and disposable behavior. This ethic help is Bible is simply marvelous and it is such a darn shame they purposely changed and hid so much about our God and his teachings from the entire world. Now I do not even think of the catholic church as a church but a cult making money on Jesus Christ and their lies about him and his teachings.
The Ethiopian Bible is 3000 years old and has had the least amount of changes over the years. The Ethiopian BibleThe story of Scripture in Ethiopia begins in the time of Solomon. The Queen of Sheba traveled to Jerusalem, received the wisdom of God from Solomon, and returned home with the knowledge of the God of Israel. Her son, Menelik, born from Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, later carried the Ark of the Covenant to Ethiopia. Ethiopian tradition teaches that God confirmed this journey with a pillar of fire that went before them, and that the Ark remains in Ethiopia to this day.Solomon lived about one thousand years before Christ, so Ethiopia became a nation that honored the God of Abraham very early in biblical history. After the resurrection of Christ, Philip the apostle brought the gospel toward Ethiopia around the year thirty five after Christ. The earliest church in Ethiopia grew from believers who already feared the God of Israel, and they preserved a deep respect for the covenant God made with Abraham. From the beginning, the Ethiopian believers kept a fuller set of sacred writings. While some texts were lost, removed, or debated in other regions, Ethiopia continued to preserve ancient writings that pointed strongly to the Messiah. Texts such as Enoch and Jubilees remained in their Bible, while other traditions set them aside as they shaped their own canon and theology. The Western world later created its final canon in the fourth century at councils influenced by Rome. At this time various books were excluded because they did not align with the theological and political direction of the empire. This same period also introduced practices that did not appear in the earliest apostolic writings.Centuries later the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, along with ancient fragments of Enoch and Jubilees. These discoveries confirmed that the books preserved in Ethiopia were part of the Scripture library used by Jews during the time of Jesus. Yet the Western church did not add them back into its canon because they no longer fit its established system. The Ethiopian Church was never part of the Council of Nicaea. It was not shaped by Roman authority or European colonization. Ethiopia kept its Bible intact, preserving the same books that had been received from the earliest centuries. For more than fifteen hundred years the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church faithfully kept• The Book of Enoch• The Book of Jubilees• The Ascension of Isaiah• The Book of the Covenant• Other ancient writingsas part of its continuous biblical tradition. These books were never lost in Ethiopia. They were copied, taught, memorized, and safeguarded in Ge’ez manuscripts and monasteries without interruption. This is why I began reading the Ethiopian Bible and the ancient texts such as Jubilees and Enoch as Scripture, just as the people of God in Ethiopia have done for centuries. The Ethiopian Bible stands as one of the oldest biblical traditions in the world and has undergone fewer changes than almost any other scriptural tradition. It preserves a window into the faith of ancient Israel and the early church long before later edits and decisions reshaped other canons.
